This cycle ride takes you from Balatonboglár along the South side of the Balaton, through Siófok, around the end of the lake to Balatonfüred on the Northern shore, then on to Tihany, across the lake to Szántód on the ferry then back to Balatonboglar.The total distance is about 130 kms.

Cycle route description

The cycle route from Balatonboglár to Siófok takes you along back roads that are flat, making it an easy ride. Between Siófok and Balatonfüred the route is a little more hilly particularly in the Balatonvilágos and Balatonakarattya area.

From Balatonkenese the route is fairly flat until Balatonfüzfö. From Balatonfüzfö to Balatonfüred the route is on rolling countryside with a hill just before Balatonfüred, then another small climb on the Tihany peninsula.

From Tihany, we take the ferry across the lake to Szántód and cycle back to Balatonboglár on flat side roads.
